Berlin Nights is for people who still feel connected to a city, a time, or a younger version of themselves — even if life has moved on.
More specifically, it is for the listener who does not go out every weekend anymore, but still remembers what it felt like to walk through the city after midnight: neon lights, wet streets, bass from somewhere behind a door, strangers passing by, thoughts becoming louder than the traffic. It is for people who carry Berlin, or any intense city chapter, inside them as a memory, not as nostalgia only, but as emotional proof that they once felt fully awake.
The album fits a very specific moment: late evening, headphones on, moving through the city or sitting alone after a long day, when the outside world slows down and the inner movie starts playing. It is not party music in the simple sense. It is music for the walk after the party, the ride home, the window seat, the reflective drive, the night train, the moment when rhythm and memory meet.
Perhaps, after listening to it, you might find yourself relating to something like:
“This doesn’t just sound like Berlin at night — it feels like a part of my own life.”
Behind the Sound: Berlin Nights (Radio Version)
The Radio Version of Berlin Nights reimagines the late-night essence of the original track into a more compact, punchy, and radio-ready format without sacrificing its distinct nocturnal soul. It is a refined distillation of urban vibes, tailor-made for both daytime airplay and late-night driving playlists.
The core of the track relies on its tightly polished Nu-Jazz & Electronic Lounge foundation. The organic warmth of the smooth Rhodes-style keys remains central, but it is balanced by a more upfront, driving mix where the saxophone lines deliver immediate, memorable flugelhorn, jazz flute and brass hooks designed to instantly capture the listener's attention.
The rhythm section transitions into a crisp, clean Downtempo & Neo-Soul pocket. While still retaining a nodding appreciation for chillhop aesthetics, the beat features tighter transient snaps and a more focused low-end groove that gives the track a sleek, high-end production sheen. Overlaid with velvet, evocative vocal textures, the Radio Version balances a luxurious, cinematic Sophisti-Pop appeal with the accessible energy of modern electronic jazz. It is a vibrant yet deeply relaxed sonic journey through a glowing metropolis.
Behind the Sound: Berlin Nights - Midnight Groove
Berlin Nights - Midnight Groove is a cinematic fusion of genres designed for late-night listening. The track’s foundation is rooted in modern Nu-Jazz & Jazztronica, blending organic, soulful saxophone lines with the warm, nostalgic chords of a classic Rhodes-style e-piano.
The rhythmic backbone is built on a relaxed, hypnotic Chillhop & Lo-Fi boom-bap groove that drives the song forward with effortless coolness. This smooth rhythm is elevated by a distinct Sophisti-Pop & Downtempo elegance—featuring velvet, melancholic vocals ("in the glow of the city...") that evoke the timeless, late-night vibes of artists like Sade or Rhye.
Enveloped in a dense, floating layer of Ambient Soul, the track creates a deeply immersive, spacious atmosphere, beautifully balancing electronic texture with profound emotional depth. It is the ultimate urban soundtrack for winding down.
Behind the Sound: Berlin Nights - City Walk
Berlin Nights - City Walk captures the raw, vibrant heartbeat of Berlin Nights in its most essential form. It is an urban, groove-driven vignette designed to sound like a midnight stroll beneath the neon lights of a sprawling metropolis.
The track operates at the high-end spectrum of Nu-Jazz & Electro-Jazz. It trading the slower, melancholic space of the flugelhorn for a more immediate, foot-tapping energy. The foundational pillars are an atmospheric synth-pad and a remarkably fat, driving E-bassline that gives the track a rich, contemporary danceability.
The defining crown jewel of this version is the beautiful Grand Piano Improvisation. Piercing through the electronic production, the jazz flute and flugelhorn lines are bright, energetic, and highly expressive, weaving complex, jazzy melodies that mimic the unpredictable, exciting movement of city traffic. Wrapped in a polished Lounge & Club-Jazz aesthetic, the City Walk theme is a stylish, upbeat celebration of modern instrumental jazz.

To everyone who’s been listening, collecting, sharing, and quietly returning to my tracks - thank you. Fantomacs is my way of translating real life into sound: the nights when everything feels possible, the mornings when you’re rebuilding, the in-between moments where memory and momentum overlap.
I’m drawn to contrasts: warm acoustic textures against precise electronic beats, jazz-influenced harmony inside club-ready grooves, cinematic space paired with intimate detail. Each release is built like a small world you can step into - designed for headphones, late drives, focused work, or that one hour when you just need your mind to breathe.
What I want to express is simple: you’re not “consuming content.” You’re joining a story that keeps evolving. If a melody helps you hold on to something, or a rhythm helps you let go - then the music has done its job.
Stay close. There’s more ahead, and it’s made for the way you feel.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fantomacs - „Berlin Nights - City Walk“
May 29, 2026 marks the release of “Berlin Nights – City Walk”, the third single in Fantomacs’ evolving Berlin Nights era. Released via RecordJet and created as part of the ongoing waterfall roll-out toward the upcoming Berlin Nights album, the track continues the story of a city after dark — one scene, one mood, and one emotional layer at a time.
If “Berlin Nights (Radio Version)” opened the door and “Midnight Groove” raised the pulse, “City Walk” now moves at street level. The track unfolds like a cinematic walk through Berlin’s nocturnal atmosphere: neon reflections on wet pavement, quiet side roads, distant club echoes, and the intimate in-between moments that make the city feel both endless and deeply personal.
Led by keyboardist, composer, and producer Joerg Peters, Fantomacs continues to refine a sound world where electronic music, jazz-influenced harmony, cinematic textures, and soulful memory come together in one immersive experience. Rooted in Peters’ personal connection to Berlin-Neukölln, “City Walk” captures the district’s contrasts — raw urban energy and quiet introspection, movement and memory, darkness and warmth.
Following the more direct energy of “Berlin Nights (Radio Version)” and the deeper groove orientation of “Midnight Groove”, “City Walk” adds a more narrative and visual dimension to the Berlin Nights cycle. The composition feels less like a traditional single and more like a scene within a larger film: atmospheric, rhythmic, reflective, and emotionally charged.
With this third release, Fantomacs continues the artistic journey toward the final Berlin Nights album. Each single reveals another facet of the concept: the invitation, the pulse, the movement through the city. “City Walk” now connects these elements into a more intimate night scene — one that reflects not only Berlin as a place, but Berlin as memory, rhythm, and inner landscape.
The track blends atmospheric electronic production with warm instrumental colors, subtle jazz elements, cinematic depth, and Fantomacs’ characteristic emotional storytelling. As in previous releases, the sound is designed to move between headphones, late-night drives, focused listening, and visual imagination — music for those moments when the outside world and inner life begin to overlap.
“Berlin Nights – City Walk” will be available on all major streaming platforms from May 29, 2026.
